Our funeral home combines both the warmth and construction of the original late 19th century antebellum portion of our facility, and the spacious and open areas of the additions that have been made over the past two decades. A new chapel addition was completed in May 2005, adding an additional chapel seating capacity of over 200 persons.

The three story main building is situated on a hill overlooking North Main Street in Monticello. A two story front porch with columns highlights the architecture of the period. The original portion of our home features interior rooms with large pocket doors that can separate adjacent offices and arrangement rooms. A central feature of the original home is the wooden staircase and railings prominent in larger homes of the era. Three large fireplaces, surrounded by marble tile and solid oak mantles and columns accent both arrangement rooms.
The modern additions to the original structure include most of the public areas of the home. Our original sectional chapel will easily accommodate 200 persons, while our newly completed chapel addition also allows a seating capacity of over 200 persons.
Two ornate Victorian double doors are located at the West entrance leading from the covered porch into the funeral home. A beautiful crystal chandelier welcomes you into the west entrance foyer of the funeral home. The foyer is furnished with antique lamps and chairs, along with an antique German Grandfather clock built in the early 1900's. Adorning one wall in the chapel is one hundred year old stained glass windows facing the rear parking area, allowing natural light to radiate into the chapel.
Adjacent to our original chapel is a two-room lounge and restroom area providing plenty of room for relaxation and comfort, while a second lounge and restroom area has been added within close proximity of the new chapel addition to provide complete privacy for our families. The North entrance foyer is also furnished with antique tables, lamps and chairs and a beautiful crystal chandelier. It opens onto a large porch which provides outdoor seating and shelter for our families. An open air shelter house with picnic tables is located adjacent to the covered driveway for your convenience and comfort.
Our state-of-the art music rooms feature a piano and organ, wireless microphones, cassette and CD systems, along with a TV monitor and DVD player available for video tributes for our families.
Our location provides access from both North Main Street in the front and Kendrick Avenue from the rear of the property. The parking areas allow for approximately 125 spaces, with most spaces on the same level as the funeral home building itself. An additional parking annex is located in close proximity to the funeral home, and additional property is being prepared which will expand the total grounds space to over 4 acres.
